Disappearing Messages

Want your messages to vanish after they've been read? Now you can. Turn on disappearing messages in any conversation and pick how long they stick around. Once the timer runs out, they're gone from both sides. Permanently.

Bug Fixes & Stability

Fixed an issue where notifications could arrive slightly delayed on Android. Also resolved a rare crash when opening a group chat with more than 50 members.

Message Reactions

Sometimes a thumbs up says it all. Long-press any message to react with an emoji. You'll see a row of quick picks, or you can browse the full emoji set. Reactions show up right below the message so everyone in the conversation can see them.

Faster & Smoother

The app opens faster, scrolls smoother, and uses less memory, especially in long conversations. If you've been chatting with someone for months, the app should feel just as snappy as day one.

Group Invite Links

Group admins can now create a shareable link that lets anyone join the group instantly. No need to add people one by one. Just send the link and they're in. You can set it to expire or revoke it at any time.

Screenshot Protection

Morse now prevents screenshots and screen recordings inside the app. If someone tries to capture your screen while Morse is open, they'll get a blank image. This is on by default so your conversations stay private even if someone has physical access to the phone.

Android Beta

Morse is now on Android. The Android app has every feature the iPhone app has: same encryption, same privacy, same experience. If you have friends on both platforms, they can message each other without missing a beat.

Online Status

You can now see when your contacts are online. A green dot appears next to their name when they're active in the app. This is completely optional. You decide whether to share your own status, and you can appear offline at any time.

Group Messaging

You can now create group conversations with up to 100 people. Groups are encrypted just like private chats, so we can't read any of it. Admins can add and remove members, and when someone leaves, they lose access to all future messages.

Morse is on TestFlight

Morse is now available as a public beta on TestFlight for iPhone and iPad. We're opening it up to early testers to help us find bugs and fine-tune the experience before the full App Store launch. No phone number, no email, no personal information needed.
